Previous outside sales experience an asset (but not a deal breaker)
Strong organizational, written and presentation skills
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & standard Social Media

Previous magazine sales experience is an asset (but not a deal breaker)
Maximize sales according to the given objectives by actively soliciting contacts, making strategic presentations to potential clients and by proposing relevant advertising solutions;
Maintains a high level of activities (phone calls & meetings at all times);
Develops and maintains good business relationships with existing and potential clients and key people in the advertising industry;
Utilizes industry connections and personal network to develop new business;
Is constantly on the look-out for industry and clients trends, news and information;
Participates actively in all sales meetings, brainstorm sessions and internal and external training seminars;
Monitors competitors’ activities;
Maintains a high level of organization with all computer files, paperwork documentation and reports.
Persuading clients to buy advertising space or time
Finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organisations and contacting them
Explaining the benefits of your medium, using statistics on readership or viewing figures
Closing the deal and recording the details
Perform cold calling to get the attention of possible clients.
Build relationships with clients.
Understand the needs of each client.
Know all advertising options.
Keep abreast of changes within the publication’s demographics.
Focus on growing accounts and acquiring new clients.
Handle incoming inquiries to buy ad space
Compensation for this role is 100% commission based on 30% of all sales
